🌳Happy 5-2-1 Impact Thursday!🌳

Here are 5 Horrendous Myths, 2 False Beliefs, and 1 Lie you should stop telling yourself this week.

🛑5 Horrendous Myths🛑

💼1💼

Work-Life balance is necessary

Everything worth fighting for can unbalance your life. There is no greatness without obsessions. Instead of balance, strive for purpose and set priorities.

🎓2🎓

I need a degree

Traditional education is over-rated. Trigonometry and algebra does nothing for most people. Financial IQ, work ethics and action taking are the true key ingredients you need to blaze your way through life.

🤸🏻‍♀️3🤸🏻‍♀️

A Jack of All Trade is a Master of None

Someone call BS. The truth is… we wear many hats and have many roles. Be adaptable and flexible. You are capable of learning new things, excelling in different fields and grow in different areas.

🏃🏻‍♂️4🏃🏻‍♀️

Always Hustle

Working hard is good. Staying focused is good. Hustling is good BUT there is nothing honourable about a 24/7 grind. Hustling is NOT a value. There is beauty in the details and you can only see it if you pace yourself.

Background is everything

You are not bounded by your resources. You are bounded by your resourcefulness. It is not how much you have. It is how much you have WITHIN. People are overcoming their shortfalls and background all the time. Seek these mentors out and be inspired.

🛑2 False Beliefs Quotes🛑

1.

“There are so many things we've been brought up to believe that it takes you an awfully long time to realize that they aren't you .”—Edward Gorey

2.

“Sometimes, your belief system is really your fears attached to rules”— Shannon L. Alder

🛑1 Lie You Should Stop Telling Yourself🛑

2 words: I cannot.

I cannot is a limit you place on yourself. It's an opportunity to grow, taken away.

There is a difference between I will not and I cannot.

I will not is a carefully examined, weighted and thought through idea.

So this week… every time you find yourself saying I cannot…

Take a hold of yourself.

Carefully think it through.

Yes. Go deep, start asking…

Until next week!
