“working to deliver the most practical wisdom of any newsletter on the web”

Happy 5-2-1 Impact Thursday🌈

Here are 5 high performance insights I've learnt, 2 quotes from others, and 1 conversation starter/ question to think about this week.

🔺5 High Performance INSIGHTS🔺

Self Affirmations is Cheesy BUT it works

Studies have confirmed this. Self affirmation also improves mood and make one happier. Try it out! You may find it cringy at first but you will find yourself growing in the process!

Leverage on “The Helper's High”

Being kind and giving back to others ignites the pleasure centers in the brain and releases endorphins. That is why it “feels good”. This is also known as The Helper's High. You have much to offer. Show other's that you care.

Confiscate Your Own Phone

Think about it, if your child is on the phone all the time, at the dining table, late into the night, looking at the screen while talking to you; you might be tempted to confiscate their phone for awhile. Now, take that and apply it to yourself! You need some off-screen downtime!

Watch Your Conduct Even As You Hustle

Work can be stressful. People can be a handful. Curveballs are constantly thrown your way. At times like these, it is easy to snap and lose yourself for a moment. Catch yourself before that happens. Don't let it get the better of you. Always be Kind.

Have Plans For Every Roadblock

Roadblock is named as such so that you can see it as you approach. If you can see it, that means you can plan for it. Will you work around it? Steamroll it or go over it? Planning your roadblocks keeps you on your toes and helps you respond fast.

“Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears.” – John Lennon

““Let us be grateful to the people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” – Marcel Proust

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?

Are you the kind that needs to grow up? Or do you need to lighten up and discover youthful wonders again?

A little exercise like this can help you recalibrate.

Go deep, get asking.

May you enjoy the process!
