Happy 5-2-1 Impact Thursday

Here are 5 Interesting Things I've learnt as a new mom, 2 motherhood quotes that inspires & 1 precious question to ask yourself this week.

🧸 5 Prioritising Techniques To Triple Your Productivity (To Do This In Sequence)🍼

🌜 1. Day/Night Confusion 🌞

Your newborn baby doesn't know how to differentiate night from day for the first 2 weeks. Help them adjust their circadian rhythm! Have more activities during the day and at night, keep the nursery dark and hushed.

👶 2. Mimic The Womb 👶

Sooth your fussy infants and calm them down by mimicking the conditions of the womb via swaddling, shushing and swinging them. You can also gently pat their backs to the rhythm of your heartbeat to lull them to sleep!

🧼 3. No Need For Soap 🧼

Warm water will do (always check temperature of water before bath)! The sulphates present in soap and shampoo may cause skin irritation and strip natural essential oil from the baby skin.

🔇 4. Silence Is Optional 🔇

You don't have to be quiet while the baby is sleeping. The womb is loud, and newborns are used to the noise. You can go about your task and your baby will sleep fine.

💧 5. The Thirst Is Real 💧

It's confirmed! Breastfeeding makes you thirsty. When you breastfeed, your body produces Oxytoxin, which triggers your thirst. What a marvellous way for your body to get you to drink more water so that you can produce more milk!

☁️ 2 QUOTES FROM OTHERS ☁️

1.

I loved you before I knew you” – Unknown

2.

“The natural state of motherhood is unselfishness.” – Jessica Lange.

❓1 Question For You ❓

What is one thing you wish you could tell your baby/child if he/she understand you right now?

Write it down, and then tell them when they get older (or immediately if they understand it)!

Great ideas often come to our head and disappear soon after.

Practice writing down your thoughts so they don't get lost!

Don't let these precious insights go to waste.

Dig deep, get asking, and start writing!

Until next week!
